June was an event-filled month for our family. We traveled three separate times so three three separate posts seem most appropriate. Here's the first!

Painting with trains has become a favourite activity as of late. Typically the trains get to come clean in the bath later that night.
Pre-bedtime Boy. 
Cates is very curious about our mouths and finds it most interesting when we floss and brush our teeth. She gets a great studied look on her face and usually breaks out into giggles by the end. It's funny business, those teeth!
Iris were one of my Mom's favourite flowers and they have bloomed in our yard for the last two years on the anniversary of her passing. It's a small thing that makes me feel close to her.
Our sweet friends split their time share week with us in Victoria, Vancouver Island. Here we are on Moses' and Cates's first ferry ride. Moses was so excited and now regularly asks to drive onto a boat. Sometimes it's the first question out of his mouth in the mornings. "Mommy, are we going on a boat today?"

We visited tide pools along the shore and looked for shells, crabs and starfish.
It was misty, foggy and chilly for June, but the island was still very beautiful.
We watched the seals eat fish at the pier...
...and admired the adorable float home community.
We visited the goats at the Beacon Hill Park petting zoo. There was a goat named Moses and our human, little boy Moses sweetly hugged and gently petted the goats.
Daddy got in on the action. He knelt down to talk to Moses and the goats thought he'd make a good rock to climb. And, I kid you not (no pun intended), we'd been there 15-20 with those goats when, surrounded by 5 or 6 baby goats, Moses quickly jumps up, points to to another goat near him and exclaims, "Oooh! A goat!!", like he'd never seen one before.
The butterfly conservatory allowed us the chance to get up close and personal with the butterflies. Cool picture Jeremy took, eh? You can even see the proboscis! Can you say 'proboscis'?
We saw hundreds of beautiful butterflies, including dozens of camera shy Blue Morphos. But of our visit, Moses remembers only a dead butterfly we saw along the pathway. He talked about its demise for weeks.
We visited an special ocean aquarium and I captured this hushed conversation between Moses and Jeremy. It's only audio--and I love the background music that's playing behind their sweet voices.
After throwing rocks into the ocean this little guy was pretty beat.

Love the picture of Jeremy, Moses, and the affectionate goat - too funny! Thank you for posting, as it's so nice to at least kind of keep up amidst the crazy busy schedules we all have :-). All is well here... Slow and steady progress for which we are very thankful. Still in ST every weekday morning and will be adding a couple late afternoon OT sessions beginning next week. I get to be there for those though, for which I am very grateful and excited!
