It Wasn't Supposed to be a Bath Night

I (obviously) left the bowl too close to Moses while I turned my back. I guess you can't keep a hungry boy away from his beets and rice!

Mass Media Effect

For better or for worse, Moses is definitely all boy when it comes to media. No matter how awkward it might be, if the TV is on, he's watching it. This isn't just a 'moment' I captured, he stays like that for minutes at a time. (Points to anyone who can decipher what's playing on the tube.)

Jeremy recently finished playing a video game called Mass Effect. The main character is named Shephard (below) and Moses adores him.

Whenever Shepard appears on screen Moses whips his head around and greets him with a smile.

Lip Service

For whatever reason Moses spends most of his time with his lower lip nicely tucked in.

Day in, day out, this little lower lip of his stays hidden and moist in the confines of his little mouth.

This may contribute to his perpetual look of curiosity? As if he's looking up from his explorations to say, "hm?" "You were saying?"

Which is why it is a curiosity and an amusement to me that one day he woke up with this face:

And stayed like that all day.

Life in Our House

This is what our house looks like these days. Everything that used to be on the coffee table, on the chairs or on the floor by my computer, and on lower bookshelves is no longer safe from the exploring hands of Moses. And it happened so fast we literally scrambled to throw stuff onto the table and out of reach! (picture below) However, since I've taken this photo he can now reach up to the edge of the table...what are we going to do now?

Moses also has a 'toy stash' which is code for: pile which we like to un-pile at every opportunity.

Sometimes we get stuck in awkward places and need Mom to help us out.

But mostly we cruise along just fine on our own.

Keeping it Clean

Moses enjoys a good splash in the tub. One of Jeremy's favourite sights is a clean, warm and be-toweled baby.

Portrait

This pretty much sums up Moses these days. He's either climbing something or sitting on his haunches examining something...

...with one sock on and one sock off.

Hippopotamoses

I love Jeremy's nickname for our little boy: Hippopotomoses. Although we use that name on particularly good eating days, the name really originates from a stuffed hippo that Aunt Joy and Uncle Wilson bought for Moses before he was born. Usually St. Augustine the Hippo has an honoured place on his room's bookshelf, but today Augie wanted to come down to play.
